Message (apparently). Believe it or not, since the exhaust gas is in pulses, the space between the pulses is in vacuum. I assume this is when the oil is allowed through since the pressure difference between the oil in the turbo and the exhaust is the greatest.

Also, a lot of the time, the intake system is not in vacuum. Theoretically, if the seal did leak, it would leak when the pressure difference is the greatest, and for the intake side, that would be at idle. AFAIK, the oil seepage problem is mainly during acceleration, not idle. Or has someone had the smoking problem at idle due to open exhaust?
